HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE MERCERART DANCERS AND THEIR FAMILIES!!

We are all looking forward to the
Mercerart Winter Concert at the Carco Theatre
on January 15th at 7:00 PM !!!

I am very proud of my students' accomplishments throughout 2011.
I expect to accomplish so much in the New Year 2012. We're in this together.

Every day my soul's storm
Gives my life form.

Each day I wake;
The sounds I'm hearing are endearing.

I do not waste
A single taste.

Even the scent of flowers
Enriches my powers.

Each day I see.
Treasures for free.

My heart's song, is to be strong.
Scale many heights
Just like King Kong.

Thanks for saying "thanks"
For compliments and corrections.
You shall surely succeed
If you follow good directions.

Students present, students past,
I hold you in my heart.
Good times when we're together
And good wishes when we're apart.

I'm thankful for each moment
That I live and that I learn.
Everyday, I'm one day older
And yet my fires still burn.

We're in this time together
Onward, upward, out....
With the "spirit of dance" within us
We learn what life is about.

Your dance was a gift
that gave a sweet "lift"
To those who watched you last Sunday.

To dance is to dream
The music supreme and you showed spirit
That made it a "Fun Day".

I thank you so much
Those who were so much in touch
And gave to all those before them.

Wherever you go, through sun, rain or snow
To forget troubles and strife
Keep dancing throughout your life

Your dancing will give you a glow
Whoever you meet, in school, work or street
Will be better off...This I know!

New York City 2/24/11..................

A BLAST...(on the A train from JFK to NYC)
Take the A train from the plane.
This is insanity, all kinds of humanity.
"Do not lean on the door"
"Do not pee on the floor".
Crossed arms and asleep,
NYC herd of sheep.
Black is on-track, not going back.
Swinging & swaying, tweeting & praying...
Clickity, clicks, clackity clacks
Wobbling along on glistening tracks
Howard Beach, Brooklyn, slipping thru the tunnel,
The A train is simply a NYC funnel.
Blue & white tiles for miles & miles
75% wired, the rest looking tired.
Priority seating, baritone greeting
"Have a warm cozy weekend, Canal will be next.

Flierce NYPD guns, tazers, the works, stand feet apart
I feel like singing, "You've got to have Heart!"
14th, 23rd, 34th, 42nd...at last I arrive
Excited to be alive in NYC, THE PLACE TO BE!!!!
